Laser skin care
The latest laser and intense pulse light (IPL) technologies deliver dramatic skin transformation results with reduced risks of complications and down time. There are numerous laser skin care devices on the market with a wide array of brand names and promises that can be confusing.
We use standard lasers and intense pulse light technologies to target your specific skin condition. Our physician conducts a careful evaluation of your skin condition and general medical health to determine the appropriate therapy for your treatment goals. We may select one or more photo therapy modalities. Combined with prescription medical treatment, we will work to ensure the best possible outcome.
Topical numbing cream is used for most laser treatments. We also utilize Zimmer Cryo 6 chiller to deliver cold air to the treatment area to reduce heat buildup and provide added comfort at the same time.
All treatments and follow-ups are conducted by the physician. We are your partner every step of the way in your aesthetic transformation.
We offer the following laser
treatments
skin resurfacing
-
Acne scars
-
Age and photo damaged skin
-
Scars and stretch marks
-
Wrinkles
Fractional CO2 and Erbium-YAG lasers are often used for skin resurfacing with dramatic results. Intensive pulse light (IPL) can also be used for minor skin resurfacing but will require multiple treatments. We also offer quick hand resurfacing with fractional CO2 laser for age related change and sun damaged skins
Fractional CO2 Laser
-
Each pulse of CO2 laser energy ablates and vaporizes a column of tissue. As ablation occurs, deep heating stimulates collagen growth and remodeling.
-
CO2 laser energy is distributed in an even pattern leaving areas of untreated skin in between treated spots. This facilitates the healing process and reduces risks of complications and decreases recovery time.

Erbium-YAG Laser
Erbium laser has a high affinity absorption for water. The top layer of tissue is ablated after treatment. Heat is then put to the dermal tissue to stimulate collagen realignment and promotes healthier skin regeneration.

skin rejuvanation

Acne
-
Fine vascular blemishes
-
Minor age spots
-
Minor hair removal
Intensive pulse light (IPL) can be used for skin rejuvenation with minimal down time, but multiple treatments are needed to achieve the desired results.
-
Specially selected wavelengths of light penetrate the skin
-
Targeted pigments (red hemoglobin in fine vessels and brown melanin) absorb the light energy with minimal epidermal and dermal absorption
-
Light energy converts to heat and destroys the targeted pigments
-
Treated tissue is removed by the immune system over time

hair removal
810 Diode Laser energy is selectively absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle and converted to heat, injuring the follicle. Most hair is permanently removed. Hair that does regrow is finer and lighter than before. Multiple treatments are needed due to three phases of hair growth
-
Three phases of hair growth - Anagen (active), Catagen (regression), and Telogen (resting)
-
1/3 to 2/3 of hairs are in Anagen phase at any given time. The hairs in this growth phase are most susceptible to 810 Diode laser treatment. Darker hairs respond better than lighter hairs due to their abundant melanin which absorb the most laser energy

Tattoo removal
Q-Switch YAG Laser targets tattoo ink in the skin. The 1064 nm wave length reduces/removes most dark colored tattoo inks and the 532 nm reduces/removes most vibrant colored tattoo inks. It targets tattoo pigments in the epidermis and dermis.
The Q-Switched Laser “fractures” the pigment into particles small enough for macrophages to remove them from the treatment site to lymph nodes which takes time. Multiple treatments are generally needed.

superficial vein treatment
Nd:YAG laser is a long pulsed YAG laser that penetrates through the skin and is readily absorbed by hemoglobin and melanin chromophores (veins and vascular lesions). The laser light is delivered through the skin and into the vein. After heating, the vein walls collapse and seal shut. The sealed vein is then broken down and absorbed by the body.
Long Pulsed YAG removes facial veins and small vascular lesions from any area of the body. Spider veins (3 mm and under) can also be treated with Long Pulsed YAG.
